Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise has been a writer, singer, and actress in the US for more than forty years. She is most famous for her role as Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV show Gilligan's Island). The actress began her career as a stage artist during the 1950s beginning by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. She continued to perform in various Broadway productions until she made it big on the national theatre space with Li'l Abner' in the year 1957. She also released her first album of music, It's Time For Tina during the same year. Louise started her Hollywood career in the year 1958 as she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre a dramatic film. It was a huge success, and Louise received her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's student. She signed on with CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour was able to play between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character opposed her perceived image as the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has gained recognition for herself as a director of well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. Her family moved to Essex to Toronto, where she spent her childhood and teenage years. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver in Canada following her choice to play the lead.
